Robert Louis Hoard

Robert Louis Hoard Jr. affectionately known as Junebug of Rogersville Tn. passed away unexpectedly April 19, 2024 at the V.A. hospital in Johnson City Tn. He was born to the late Robert and Beatrice Brice Hoard on January 9, 1957. Preceded in death by siblings Nettie (Tootie), Spencer, Gary Wayne and his beloved Peggy Frazier. He is survived by sisters Marcella Jones and Kaye Henderson. Many nieces, nephews, friends and family. Graveside services to be held at Brice Family cemetary in Petersburg Tn with full Military Honors on Sunday April 28th, 2024 at 2pm

 

Charles Lee Peters

Charles Peters, 6of Morristown, Tennessee, passes away Wednesday, April 17, 2024.


He was born October 28,1961 to the late Charles C. Peters and Cleo N. Wilson.

He was preceded in death by stepfather Jeb Wilson; son Christopher Jesse Peters; brothers John Joseph Noe, Frank D. Peters, and James Edward “Pedro” Peters.

He leaves to cherish his memory his sister, Janice E. Simpson of White Pine, Son Charles Lee Peters II, nieces, Juanita (Anthony) Swink, Denise Barrett, Felticia Barrett,  all of Morristown, Jamie Kyle Willis, Heather Kyle of Shelbyville, nephew Daniel Peters of Morristown, great nephews, James (Tori) Collins, DeAndre (Emberly) Barrett, DeMarius (Brooke) Barrett, great niece Daiza Barrett, and a host of cousins  and friends.

A special thanks to Smoky Mountain Home Health and Hospice in Morristown.

There will be a Celebration of Life held on Saturday 27 at 1pm held at the home of Juanita (Anthony ) Swink .

Margaret Bowman Rucker

Margaret Bowman Rucker, beloved mother, grandmother, sister and educator, passed away on April 8, 2024, in Morristown, Tennessee, at the age of 93. She was born on October 1, 1931, in 


Morristown, Tennessee, to the late Ernest and Alice Bowman.

 

Margaret was a graduate of Tennessee State in Nashville, Tennessee.  Her degree was in education. She fulfilled her childhood dream of becoming an elementary teacher.

 

Margaret, known for her warm smile and sweet spirit, touched the hearts of everyone around her. She was a dedicated teacher at Judson S Hill School and Hillcrest School, leaving a lasting impact on her students.

 

She is survived by her son, Adrian (Teresa), grandson Charles (Dakota),  granddaughters Abrianna and Alexis Rucker, as well as her siblings Dorothy McDowell, Ken Rucker and Debra Sue Rucker and special niece Gloria Jackson; brother-in-law Curtis Rucker, sister-in- laws Helen Buis and Lennie Jackson. Margaret 

 

was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Rucker, and other family members.

 

In her free time, Margaret enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and baking. She was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church, where she found solace and community.

 

Family and friends will be received on Monday, April 15, 2024 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm with funeral following at Mt. Olive Baptist Church to honor and remember Margaret's life and legacy. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. In lieu of flowers and gifts, donations can be made to Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Morristown, Tennessee .
