Frances Hampton, 88, of Morristown, passed away Saturday, July 11, 2020 at Covenant Health.

Frances was the Church Mother of Tabernacle Baptist Church, Whitesburg.

Frances was preceded in death by her parents, Edd and Ethel Johnson Parkey; her Husband, James Hampton; three daughters, Wanda and Glenda Kyle, Yvette Porter; two grandsons, Junior Donaldson and Brandon Treece; four brothers, June, A.R., Charlie and Cleophus Parkey; and two sisters, Amanda Blevins and Cliva Nance.

Frances is survived by her seven loving children, Gary (Charlene) Kyle, Eddie (Rebecca) Kyle, Pansy Wallace, Rodney (Pam) Kyle, Louis (Elaine) Hampton, Yvonne Hampton and Audrey Baltimore; 23 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Gladys Parkey; brother-in-law, J. E. Hampton; adopted son, Chubby Wilken; her TBC family; and a host of family and friends.                          

The family wishes to express our many thanks to the staff of Covenant Health CCU and Amedisys Home Health.

The family will receive friends noon – 1 p.m., Thursday, July 16 at Dockery-Senter Funeral Home with funeral services to follow at 1 p.m. COVID-19 mandates will be followed; social distancing will be enforced.

She was such an important person in the Mother’s’ Day Out program at First Presbyterian Church. The children and parents just loved her. I am so sorry for your loss. My boys are John and Jeff.
