Vivian PatRicia Jones

Vivian Patricia Jones was born January 8, 1950 in Roanoke, Alabama, to George and Claudia Jones. She departed this life on December 21, 2019 at Becky’s Group Home, Morristown.

Vivian was a loving wife and mother. She was a faithful member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church, where she served as a Sunday school teacher, ushered, sung in the choir and started up the library. She was always there for anything the church needed, including teaching VBS or cooking her famous Mississippi mud pies.

She worked at Anchor Brush around 18 years, then worked at B.A.E. Supplies until she was injured there. She was truly a hard worker, and loved her family and was a devoted friend.

She was married to George T. Jones for 34 years. They enjoyed a wonderful life together.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Will and Pearl Allen, and Burl and Minnie Jones; father, George B. Jones; husband; brother, George R. Jones; and step-daughter, Annette L. Jones Parson.

Survivors include her mother, Claudia Jones of Akron Ohio; son, Carlos (Martina) Jones of Morristown; sister, Barbara Williams of Akron Ohio; brothers, Stanley Jones and Michael Jones of Akron Ohio; step-children, Renee M. Jones-Hinton of Akron, Ohio, George Tommy III (Kim) Jones of Morristown, and Kathy M. Burt of Birmingham, Alabama; grandchildren, Ericka Jones, Erick T. Jones Sametrius Jones, Avery Jones, Demetrius Jones, Carletha Jones, Amanda Foster, Jacquelyn Jones, Jasmyn Jones, Torie Jones, Chiquita (Keke) Kyle, Edwin Burts, and Lauren Burts; numerous great-grandchildren; and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends 1 – 2 p.m., Saturday, January 4 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church prior to the funeral service at 2 p.m.

You truly have my condolence for the lost of Sister Jones. She was a very dear friend of mine in whom I consider sometimes as a real sister. Family please remember God walks with you at all times
