Willie Mae Allen Howell, 93, passed away peacefully April 22, 2019 at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System.
Willie Mae retired from Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System after 35 years of service as a central supply clerk. She also worked at Dandridge County Jail as a cook. She was a devoted member of the “Classy Royal Red Hatters” of Morristown. Willie was nominated, recognized and honored by Faith Temple Church of God in Christ as “Queen of the Day,” at their 20th Annual Brunch, where she was honored by Morristown City Mayor Gary Chesney.
She is survived by her son, Samuel Allen Howell; daughter, Florine Howell of Richmond, Washington; godchildren, Marie Jones, Helena Donaldson, Nathan Donaldson and Neil Howell; granddaughters, Missy Howell and Lynn Howell Cutshall of Newport; great-grandchildren, Jasmine and Jalese Pruitt; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends noon – 1 p.m., Saturday, May 4 at Dockery-Senter Funeral Home with a celebration of life service to follow at 1 p.m. Interment will be at the Dandridge Cemetery following the service.
