Tessa Cassandra (Houchins) Barnes Goldin

Tessa Cassandra (Houchins) Barnes Golding, age 60 was born December 9, 1961 in Wooster, Ohio to Paul Houchins and Glenna O. (Yeary) Houchins Minard. She departed her earthly home March 13, 2022 after a short illness.

Tessa was a fun loving person who loved to laugh and never met any strangers. She loved to tease or play little jokes on family members and friends and loved spending time with them. She was preceded in death by her mother, Glenna and step-father Gerold Minard, grandparents James Eli and Kathelene (Toney) Yeary, Rand and Emma Houchins and several aunts and uncles. She was particularly close to her uncle Phil Houchins and her aunt Mary Lundy.

She leaves behind her father, Paul Houchins of Cleveland, Ohio, her son, David Barnes III of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, husband Michael Golding of Dayton, Ohio, brothers Trent A. Houchins of Nashville, Tennessee, Jason S. G. Houchins of Phoenix, Arizona and sister Monique E. (Minard) Segars (David) of Oak Ridge, Tennessee. She is also survived by several aunts and uncles, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A graveside memorial service will be held at Yeary Cemetery, Lowland, Tennessee at 11 am Friday, March 25, 2022.

Tessa’s infectious laugh will be missed.

Tessa, I will miss you terribly. You were a fun and shining light in my life. I am sorry that I cannot attend your service, but my wonderful memories of your vibrant personality, and the times we spent together or talked on the phone will bring me joy, comfort and peace. Tessa was such a beautiful, fun-loving, sweet person. She had a unique personality and laugh that would always bring a smile to my face. I will miss our long telephone conversations so much.
