Jacqueline Anetra “Jackie” Collins

Jacqueline Anetra “Jackie” Collins, age 58, of Morristown, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 24, 2014 to celebrate Christmas with Him. Jacqueline was born to the late James Jack and Shirley Ann Collins on November 22, 1956.
Jackie joined Rock of Ages Baptist Church at an early age, and over the years, she supported many other ministries in the area. At the time of her passing, she was an active participant of Power of Praise Ministries in Morristown, under the leadership of Pastor Renetta Sheadrick.
She was an amazing woman of God who had a kind and loving heart for God’s people. She was a selfless person, always striving daily to be what God expected her to be. Everywhere she went, she always had an encouraging word for someone and never failed to tell the goodness of the Lord. One of her favorite sayings was “But God!” She was a great mother to her loving daughter and a faithful grandmother to her five grandchildren, including her dog Zip.
She is preceded in death by her mother Shirley Ann Collins, her father James Jack, her step-father William Blevins, her brother William “Brother” Blevins, and her grandparents, Lee and Viola Collins.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter: Lasheena Keona Collins; grandchildren: Briann & Laura Collins and Justin & Yaser Ramos; sisters: Carmelita Blevins and Terry Charles Cross; aunts: Melvina (Albert Lee) Wallace, Dorothy Richmond and Aunt Rosalee; great aunt: Barbara Jean (Kenneth) Bragg; nieces: Tanisha Lawson and Elese Smith; nephews: Darrius Blevins, Aaron Charles and Trevor & Bryson Blevins; spiritual children: Jeremy & Shireena Weaver; special son: Hary Ramos; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Monday, December 29, 2014 at 6 p.m. at Rock of Ages Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the church. Interment will be on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at 10 a.m. at Rock of Ages City Cemetery.
